THIS IS AN INACTIVE BLOG. NOW ONLY USED FOR ARCHIVAL PURPOSES, IT WILL BE TERMINATED ON OR BEFORE APRIL 1 2006. . (old description) We process priority and general relief requests for supplies and volunteers. We call and e-mail on behalf of emergency command centers and evacuation facilities in search of specific help, and place people where most needed. This is an all volunteer effort, and we accept no donations - except of your time. We always appreciate more callers and web-searchers.

Hi Everyone
I'd called and also emailed the city council and police department of Covington LA last week, but hadn't heard back from anyone until this morning while I was out.
Jack West from the Covington Police department called and left his number 985-892-8500.
Iceknife could you delegate this number to someone to call, because (as I mentioned last week) I am going out of town for the next 5 days for a Master Gardener Conference, as a matter of fact, I am leaving very soon.

Being taken care of, I spoke with Lt.West, and we're locating the equipment now, and the request is posted to emergency updates. Thanks Cat, and have a good conference! And remember our friend the Quinoa plant!
